Job Overview And Responsibility

This is a unique opportunity for a project manager with a deep understanding of technology and technology stacks. This role would ideally suit someone who was a web developer in the past and who can speak excellent English to help us manage large scale web projects for some of Australia’s most well known brands.

• You will be responsible for assisting in the definition of technical stacks and requirements for bespoke projects
• You will be responsible for briefing in our local Vietnamese team on tasks required to create websites and apps
• You will be responsible to assist in configuration of CMS platforms including WordPress, Silverstripe, Shopify, Magento, Drupal
• You will be responsible for assisting the development team in uncovering bugs and fixes for bugs
• You will instruct our development team on how you’d like the work completed
• You will communicate consistently with our Australian team who will speak to our clients to ensure the solution we are delivering is technically sound, on time and on budget
• You will assist with scheduling resources, booking in time and ensuring that when you have time booked for developers that they are equipped to do their job to the best of their ability
• You will have experience working with other agencies or agency adjacent businesses
• You will be expected to make recommendations and bring innovative solutions to the table
• You must have a great attitude and build positive relationships with our clients and team
• You will ensure the team understands the capabilities of your technical recommendations
• You will embody the Company visions and values, believing in what we do
• You are expected to stay up to date with the latest technology
• You will audit budget expenditure on your jobs and ensure that Company is working on profitable projects

Required Skills and Experience

• 5+ years of project management experience in a technical role
• Experience in web development and custom coding (this is not a coding role but a knowledge of web coding and standards is useful)
• Excellent communication skills
• Highly proficient written and verbal communication skills in English
• Experience using Shopify, Magento, Drupal, WordPress, Silverstripe (desirable)
• Experience leading and managing a highly skilled and technical development team
• Experience directing technical solutions to problems
• Experience managing large budgets
• Experience working with developers and testing in NodeJS, ReactJS, VueJS and various other JS frameworks
• Understanding of best practise requirements for front and back end development including an understanding of MySQL
• Experience briefing and testing API integrations (Google Maps API, payment gateways, Rest API, GraphQL)
• Understanding of MVC design patterns
• Conceptual knowledge of object oriented PHP programming
• Experience with passing penetration tests and PHP unit testing
• Understanding accessibility and security compliance
• Experience working with Github / BitBucket
• Good problems solving skills
